NUMERICAL CALCULATION OF FLEXIBLE SHELLS OF REVOLUTION SUBJECTED TO PLASTIC FLOW AT FINITE STRAINS
The paper is concerned with a method of numerical integration of the system (1.1) of quasi-linear hyperbolic partial differential equations that has been derived by the authors in [14]. These equations describe the form, the stresses, and the deformations of flexible shells in the light of the theory of plastic flow, generalized for finite strains. On the basis of a block scheme (presented in the paper), a program for the electronic computer ODRA-1013 has been established and a particular case of a thin cylindrical shell under uniform internal pressure has been solved with great accuracy. The results of calculations have, been compared with a solutions of an analogous problem on the basis of physical relations in the generalized deformational plastic theory at different intensities of load.
