Z dziejów polskiej mechaniki do 1918 r.

The paper presents a review on the development of Polish Mechanics before 1918. A short discussion of the first Polish papers dealing with mechanics is followed by a review on the considerable scientific achievements in that domain which are due to the activity of Polish scientists working at the Polish Society of Sciences in Paris, at the Lvov universities, at various Russian universities, and then at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAU) and the Jagiellonian University in Cracow and the Warsaw Technical University.
