The effect of stress sequence, initial stress level and number of cycles in a block on the fatigue life of PA6N duraluminium and M058 brass alloys has been investigated. The effect of each of these parameters has been found to depend on the selection of the remaining parameters, the range of stresses in a spectrum and on the type of material as well.
