In the case of the optimization problem of rod structures subject to statical and temperature loadings, the variable rod characteristics appear in the integrands. These expression determine the influence parameters of the canonical system of equations of the method of forces. In order to adapt the optimization processes to mathematical programming and to apply the Simpson method, the paper presents the method of estimation of the approximate values of the hyperstatic quantities obtained from these equations.
