Podstawy mechaniki ciał dyskretyzowanych

Czesław Woźniak
The paper dels with an approximate description of the deformable body within the known assumptions of the continuous media theory and using the additional assertion that the body under consideration has only finite or countable number of degrees of freedom. Such body is said to be a discretized body. Starting from the general scheme of discretization of continuous media we arrive at the concept of discretized body and then we obtain the equations of motion and the constitutive equations of such a body. The characteristic feature of the equations obtained is their simple and general form and their formal resemblance to the known equations of the continuous media theory. At the end of the paper the problem of applications of the mechanics of discretized bodies is also widely discussed.
