Równowaga i stateczność podłużna skoczka narciarskiego w locie

The problem is analyzed by considering the gravity and aerodynamic forces acting on the jumper and ski. The aerodynamic forces were measured by the authors on a model in a wind tunnel for the four configurations of the jumper and ski. Equations of equilibrium and differential equations of motion are derived and the necessary conditions of equilibrium, as well as relations between angles of path and angles of attack for the few configurations are presented. The problem of stability is solved by the method of eigen-vectors. Theoretical results are compared with the silhouettes of world-known ski-jumpers.
