Wytrzymałościowe badania modeli zbiorników ciśnieniowych

The authors describe model tests performed on pressure vessel models. The models made of an optically sensitive material, based on epoxy resins, represented the nozzle – thick vailed cylinder joint. The photoelastic stress – freezing method, the strain gauge measurements, and the destructive test were used in the experiments. Some details concerning the models fabrication method and description of test stands were given, and the method of the strength estimation of pressure vessels on the ground of model tests was discussed.
