Projektowanie elementów konstrukcyjnych przy pomocy ciągłych pól statycznie dopuszczalnych

Plastic design of structural elements by means of nonhomogeneous continuous stress fields is presented. Well-known method of characteristics is used to construct stress fields. The process of constructing stress fields is shortly described. Examples of plastic design of bolt joint and tension member are presented to illustrate the proposed design procedure. Results are compared with those obtained by means of piecewise-homogeneous stress field technique.
