Wyboczenie prętów stalowych poddanych wstępnym wydłużeniom trwałym

Jan Grabowski

This work is an experimental analysis of the influence of initial overstrain in tension on buckling strength of steel bars. Circular tubes of carbon steel (R35) were used for that purpose. The investigation was done for the inelastic stress range. The basic part of this work was preceded by extensive tests for the Bauschinger effect. The results of the tests were shown according to two different approaches concerning the definition of the Bauschinger effect. The experiments of stability have shown that small initial overstrain make flexural buckling strength decreased within the range of slenderness, which is important from the technical point of view. In. case of considerable initial overstrain the Bauschinger effect dissapears and in some cases an increase in buckling strength may occur.
