Jednorównaniowy model turbulentnej strugi osiowosymetrycznej

The paper presents an attempt to apply the one-equation Prandtl-Kolmogorov model of turbulence for analysis of the round free jet. Presented results show that the energy model, in its classical form, provides only correct evaluation of velocity profile, while the predictions of turbulence structure are far from experimental data. The modification introducing the function describing CD dissipation coefficient in the flow-field was proposed. This modification improves the performance of the one-equation energy model because predicted profiles of turbulence kinetic energy, its balance and turbulent shear stress are in good agreement with experiment.
