Reologia molekularna układów polimerowych

Andrzej Ziabicki
The general principles of construction of molecular theories of polymer systems are discussed. The theories, based on statistical mechanics combined with simplified concepts in molecular structure comprise the following fundamental equations: equation of continuity in an N-dimensional configuration space, kinematic equations describing the motion of the structural units involved, dynamic equations, i.e. relations between the local tension and configuration characteristics and the kinetic equation describing the rate of formation (or dissociation) of structural elements in the system. Some simplified concepts in intra- and intermoleeular interactions in polymer systems are given. Two example model systems are systematically analyzed: a dilute solution of flexible chain-macromolecules and an entangled network system typical for concentrated polymer solutions and melts.
