The general form of the elastic stress and displacement fields of the finite cracked plate
In this paper, the general forms of in-plane fields of a finite cracked plate have been achieved in the elastic range by expanding the potential functions of the infinite cracked plate about the crack tip. Subsequently, the stress intensity at the crack tip has been obtained. In addition, the numerical models have been provided by the finite element method. The effect of finite sizes on the stress and displacement fields has been detected and to validate the obtained analytical relations, the least-squares curve fitting has been used. Moreover, the
calculated stress intensity correction factors have been compared with the existing results in the literature.
