Przybliżona teoria skręcania swobodnego ortotropowych prętów pryzmatycznych

An application of Reissner's plate theory to torsion problem of monosymmetric anisotropic bars is presented. The solution obtained by means of the method has a simple exact form. The torsion of the rectangular and triangular cross-section bars are discussed. A good agreement (esspecially in case of displacements) with exact solution of the theory of elasticity is shown. The approximate method presented here is useful in design and optimization problems.
