Elastic-plastic strain analysis by photoelastic coating method

In the paper the method of determining of strain and stress distribution in plastined cones of the construction by using isochromatics pattern obtained in testing by the method of photoelastic coating is presented. Calculation of the strain components (strain separation) requires introduction of both the schematization of the material characteristics and the physical relations valid in regions, where the yield point was exceeded. The introduced relations were applied to the strain separation along the axis of symmetry. The process of calculations was illustrated by an example.
